BID SPECIFICATIONS

Fan shall have a 24-inch, two-blade, aircraft-style safety propeller consisting of a wood core with a fiberglass and Kevlar® pressure-bonded full wrap sheath and a minimum of three layers of .01 inch fiberglass on the leading edge.

Fan shall be capable of rising at least 14 inches above the ground in order to allow aiming of the air stream over obstacles such as residential entry steps.

Fan shall be able to be placed on stairs or uneven ground and shall be capable of straddling 12-inch high ground debris.

Fan shall be gasoline powered and equipped with a Honda GX-series motor.

Fan shall have a tripod frame with three independently extendable, adjustable legs.

Fan shall be capable of fitting in a 29-inch high by 27 inch wide x 23 inch deep compartment.

Fan shall have a wet (full fuel and oil) weight of 75 pounds or less, not including options.

Fan’s full throttle un-governed engine speed shall not exceed the engine manufacture’s redline (4,000 RPM).

Fan air stream shall not exceed OSHA exposure recommendations of 35 PPM carbon monoxide content.

Fan shall produce at least 16,000 CFM verified by a thrust value of 15 pounds or more.

Fan noise level shall not exceed 95 dB measured from 4 feet behind the fan at full throttle.

Fan shall have a free-flowing wire guard which excludes objects larger than a 1/2-inch probe.

Fan shall be available with the following optional components:

• Spark Arrester to meet National Park requirements.
• Digital Tiny Tach™ combination tachometer and hour meter which tracks RPM and total hours.
• Wheels & Folding Tow Handle which include two 4-inch diameter by 1-inch wide solid rubber wheels and a powder-coated steel tow handle which folds down against the fan body when not in use.
• Articulated Top Safety Light of 50 watts, which is water resistant, self-contained, and able to aim in multiple directions. The light must be powered by the fan engine, feature an on/off switch, and fold down when not in use.
• Low-pressure water Misting Ring Kit with a flushable 22-micron filter and four adjustable nozzles. The Misting Ring Kit must operate at pressures up to 200 psi.

Fan engine shall be covered under Honda’s warranty and all other components shall be covered by OEM’s three-year warranty.
